For the third consecutive year, one can see a plethora of trucks with branding representing the créme de la créme of rallying flowing into the streets of Zagreb, once again the hub of WRC Croatia Rally. For the nearly 60 crews that will be taking the roads in five Croatian counties over the weekend, there are an estimated 2400 people working around the clock to gain every competitive advantage they can get.
In the Service Park, set in the district of Novi Zagreb on the southern bank of the river Sava, more than 1400 meters of water pipes and tens of kilometers of various wiring have been laid in order to ensure an optimal working environment for the crews that came into town with approximately 70 trucks.
Kicking off with the Ceremonial Start on Thursday night at 18:30 in front of Zagreb's National and University Library, this year's first tarmac-only WRC event will feature special stages in five Croatian counties - Varaždin, Krapina-Zagorje, Zagreb, Karlovac and Primorje-Gorski Kotar, including two brand new additions to Croatia Rally's itinerary.
The four-day octane spectacle, running from April 20th to April 23rd, will come to an end Sunday afternoon on one of Zagreb's most picturesque streets, Većeslav Holjevac Avenue, where the Ceremonial Finish is set to be held in front of the INA headquarters at 15:30.
