Ireland’s Jon Armstrong capped off a remarkable season with a commanding victory at the 2025 Croatia Rally, driving his M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally2 to five stage wins on Saturday and sealing the event with triumph on the iconic Zagorska Sela – Kumrovec Power Stage.
Armstrong mastered Croatia’s notoriously tricky asphalt, mixing speed with control in treacherous wet conditions on the final day. His dominant performance gave him maximum points, though Poland’s Miko Marczyk held onto third overall to clinch the ERC title.
“It’s been an amazing year and so many people to thank. Shane (Byrne, co-driver) and me have been doing a really good job. What an event! To be fastest in the Power Stage, we couldn’t do much more.” said Armstrong.
With Norwegian veteran Mads Østberg taking second and Marczyk third, Armstrong may have missed the championship crown – but his speed and consistency throughout Croatia confirmed his status as one of the standout drivers of the 2025 ERC season.
