Established in 2011, the FIA Environmental Accreditation Program is the pinnacle of achievement in measuring and enhancing the environmental performance in the motorsport and mobility sector. By introducing clear and consistent environmental management into motor sport and mobility, it provides stakeholders with a three-level framework against which to accredit their activities.
This award is recognition of a WRC Croatia Rally 2023 outstanding dedication to the conservation and protection of natural resource and fostering harmony between communities and the environment.
FIA 3-Star Environmental Certificate follows the cooperation with Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP) from Zagreb aiming at determining the calculation of the carbon footprint and defining goals and measures for its reduction.
Daniel Šaškin, Croatia Rally Organising Committee President, said:

Being aware of our environmental responsibility, WRC Croatia Rally devotes serious and sustained efforts to reduce the organisation's impact on the environment while respecting the highest global standards. This rating is a confirmation that our efforts have paid off, and we will continue to make efforts in order to justify the trust we have received."
EIHP conducted the study by using data from the WRC Croatia Rally 2022. The study was made in accordance with the GHG protocol and the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard.
